My husband and I are kicking ourselves for not checking out EJ’s Place sooner. EJ’s Place was on our list of restaurants to visit for a while and we finally decided to check it out and it was amazing from start to finish. We each ordered cocktails (the aviation for me and the paper plane for him), and they were delicious. We then ordered the petit filet, the skirt steak, creamed spinach, the bacon, and the French fried onions. Everything came out perfectly cooked, and was absolutely delicious. Our server, Cristian, was attentive, helpful, and friendly—giving us great recommendations without being pushy. We ordered the key lime pie (made in house) and spumoni ice cream (from Homers Ice Cream) for dessert. It’s rare to have an overwhelmingly positive restaurant experience from start to finish, but tonight was just that. We will definitely make it a habit to come to EJ’s Place when we want to treat ourselves, and already have plans to bring friends and family at the next opportunity. Thanks so much for a wonderful meal—we can’t wait to come back!

Sat out in the tent and enjoyed an amazing meal served by Andrew our waiter. Andrew was professional and friendly! The tent seats approximately 50 people with adequate spacing. We had Dover Soul and NY Strip Steak. Both the best we’ve had! The food came out piping hot and cooked the way we ordered it (the steak). Bathroom was spotless. Really enjoy EJ’s. Each time we have gone, we have never been disappointed. Highly recommend.

We love your place. We come for special occasions but can easily make it a regular place as well. Our fillet mignon was outstanding. So was the service and atmosphere. Thank you.

My family are customers of both EJ’s and Erie downtown. Both are always very good! Had dinner tonight at EJ’s Jules was our waiter. Everything was outstanding; service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Of all of the meals between both places tonight’s was the best! I had linguine with seafood arabiata perfect amount of seasoning and the dish was piping hot.

We were a group of 7 adults and 4 kids under five years old. George and the rest of the wait staff were wonderful - patient, friendly, helpful. Cleared the messy table at regular intervals, brought out sippy cups for the little ones, split the appetizers among the adults, were flexible with our chaotic ordering. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The food was delicious as well.

Amazing food and experience. Most wait staff have been there for 20+ years! Excellent portions and the food is tasty!! Garbage salad is delicious! Service was super attentive and never once waited on anyone. This place is a must! Valet parking only but very fast.

Outstanding! First time here, and impressed beyond words. EJ's blew the roof off of our usual favorites, Hugo's, Gene & Georgetti, and Gibsons. From the welcoming interaction with the valet, to the pleasant goodbye from the manager, every aspect of our experience was heightened by the professionalism of EJ's staff. And the food! Fresh and simply prepared, with clean, well-balanced flavors. Nothing too little, nothing too much. We enjoyed, the Dover sole (meticulously deboned table-side), the petit filet (tender and juicy), a scrumptious clam chowder, a bursting-with-flavor tomato salad, as well as creamed spinach (best we've tasted in the Chicago area), garlic mashed, a baked potato (actually moist), and the steamed broccoli (great texture). We capped off the meal with a perfectly tart slice of Key Lime Pie. Also of note, the non-alcoholic Champagne - bright and fun. I would be remiss did I not mention our wonderful waiter Dino. So impressed by his presence, I had to ask the manager, "Where did you find this guy?" Our service was so personable, knowledgeable, and detailed, we felt as if we were private dining. All around, our best Chicagoland Steakhouse/Supper Club experience yet! ALL THE STARS!

What a wonderful surprise to walk into! I was visiting town and my friend said, "You CAN'T leave without eating at EJ's." After I was in EJ's I didn't want to leave! What a beautiful little gem filled with wonderful folks that make the place go 'round! I so look forward to the next time I'm in town! Thank you to all of you who make that place feel like home.

Typically there is one supper club per village around the northern Chicago suburbs, all of them have similar foods, ambience, and white cloth tables, but I really believe the quality is a lot higher at EJ’s. There’s something about EJ‘s that doesn’t make it a regular supper club. It has an environment that is always buzzing, top quality food, and even better service. I always passed by EJ‘s but never went in and to my surprise my first time ever walking in was probably my favorite experience out of any restaurant I have been too. Cheers to many more visits 🥂

My first visit. Went to a work function with six of us. This is an old school establishment with top notch service and food. They definitely take care of you and you will not leave hungry.
